The Call of Duty tournament broke records with 331,000 views. The five games to-one win by the Dallas Empire over the Atlanta FaZe in the Call of Duty League finals was the most-watched Call of Duty Esports game in the game's history. The previous record in the league's first season peaked at 200,000 views. As is the case for most events, the company had to pivot to a virtual platform, and YouTube was an easy choice, making it easy for the viewers to watch. The league has grown immensely and has over 1 million subscribers on YouTube. The league winners received 1.5 million for winning, a custom throne, and a trophy. There's hope if you are a gamer if you want to make this a career. Keep an eye out for gamers, as their platforms are growing exponentially with this new fandom craze.
