TL;DR Chadwick Boseman’s last tweet had so much love and supported that it broke the record for the most-liked tweet of all time.

It was a tweet felt around the world. Twitter said that the tweet announcing the death of the Hollywood star is the most liked tweet of all time. The tweet has over 7 million likes and over 3 million retweets. Fans from all around the world came together to mourn the star and show their support. The tweet was that of a black and white photo of Boseman as well as a message confirming his death and giving some details about the situation.

The message noted his 4-year battle with colon cancer, shocking the world. He suffered in private. The tween also stated that it was the most significant honor of his career to star in the record-breaking film Black Panther. The previous record was held by Barak Obama when he posted a quote from Nelson Mandela in a photo.

We send our condolences to his family. We feel the loss of such a great man. Many of us rewatched Black Panther to feel his presence and honor his work. Rest in peace, Chadwick Boseman.
