Social Media Strategist

The task at hand (AKA the role & responsibilities)

  • Owning all social media including planning (content, copy, graphics), execution, monitoring, reporting, performance, and implementing changes as needed.
  • Creating necessary copy and graphics/images for social posts using the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Interact with the company’s social media community for constant communication, mitigating problems, responding to the audience, etc.

Social Media strategist requirements:

  • 7+ years managing and growing social media presence in a corporate setting with numbers to show for it
  • Ability to demonstrate social media successes across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite for social graphics from InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Familiar with social analytics tools
  • Excellent writing and grammar for social content

If you have experience doing social media for a Fortune 500 or 700 company, this will put you at the top of the list.
